The photo with a story.
The scarf story started in September 2015 when I’ve received mint scarf as a “Thank You” gift from the wedding of my friend in Kazakhstan.
First, we went to the Big Almaty Lake and I took my new scarf with me, cos it was expected to be more chilly in the mountains than in the city. The color of the scarf fit the beauty of the lake and it was the first photo in this series. Btw, this photo won the grand prize in the photo competition among freelancers of Upwork platform.
- Big Almaty Lake (Kazakhstan)
Mostly all of the scarf photos were taken with a GoPro camera, which makes the angle of the image wider, but the problem is than if the weather is nasty or it is already a twilight this camera won’t catch the movement of the scarf.
The idea of these photos is to show the temporaly presence of a traveller in outstanding places of our world. Today you could stay next to the “brother” of Grand Canyon – Charyn Canyon in Kazakhstan and wonder about the natural uniqueness, but tomorrow you might appear in Berlin next to the beautiful architectural monuments… The scarf is like a red line – which connects our presence in the world and shows us that we could be anywhere, it’s just a matter of time.
Here is a short video of how the scarf photos were taken:
Each place have it’s own attitude and it’s own story. Join this path for the inspiration to travel.

- Singing Dunes (Kazakhstan)
- Chembulak 3200 m high (Kazakhstan)

Charming story, Lidiia.

Looks stunning! Can I ask you about upwork site, do you have enough orders there? Does everything work smooth there? How are you satisfied? I just heard a lot about this website, but not sure it’s trustful. Thank you for your answers in advance! Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!

Perfect entry for WPC-Path!
Let me tell you Lidiia, I love the pictures you click and post. I love that “mysterious” tint it has.
So tell me, Do you shoot the video and ten pull out a frame to work upon with Lightroom or Photoshop?
Just curious to know! 🙂

Thank you =) I shot the video and photo separately. Usually I do the photo and then a video, so when it’s to cold or we are in a rush I don’t have enough time for a video =)
