The scarf story started in September 2015 when I’ve received mint scarf as a “Thank You” gift from the wedding of my friend in Kazakhstan.
First, we went to the Big Almaty Lake and I took my new scarf with me, cos it was expected to be more chilly in the mountains than in the city. The color of the scarf fit the beauty of the lake and it was the first photo in this series. Btw, this photo won the grand prize in the photo competition among freelancers of Upwork platform.

Mostly all of the scarf photos were taken with a GoPro camera, which makes the angle of the image wider, but the problem is than if the weather is nasty or it is already a twilight this camera won’t catch the movement of the scarf.
The idea of these photos is to show the temporaly presence of a traveller in outstanding places of our world. Today you could stay next to the “brother” of Grand Canyon – Charyn Canyonin Kazakhstan and wonder about the natural uniqueness, but tomorrow you might appear in Berlin next to the beautiful architectural monuments… The scarf is like a red line – which connects our presence in the world and shows us that we could be anywhere, it’s just a matter of time.
Here is a short video of how the scarf photos were taken:
