This is New York – the city which calls all the ambitions young people who are seeking for opportunities. It`s hard to imagine what you can`t find here: from chic boutiques & beauty of the urban places and stinky quarters full of disappointment. New York City is a place of huge ambitions and broken dreams… no one knows who will be the lucky one to get the hospitality of this American Dream.
But if you just came to check what is going on here as a traveller you might enjoy the diversity of this place.
New York is divided into 4 parts: Manhattan – which is the most prestigious place situated on the island; Queens (which is full of Russian people, as they told me); Bronx and Brooklyn. There is nothing special about the last three part except of the famous Brooklyn Bridge and diverse area of Brighton Beach.
The most attractive part of the Manhattan is the Times Square and its Broadway. There should be the first place in your checklist to visit in NYC. This is the place from the Hollywood movies and you will feel quite familiar with it) You could dream there a bit and imagine yourself as a TV star 😉

The highest building in New York is Empire State Building. You can find it just few quarters away from the Broadway. You have to put this place into your NYC`s travel checklist, cos you could observe the full panorama of this incredibly huge city.

The Empire State Building started to be the highest observation area from 11th f September 2001 when the awful tragedy happened. I think that everyone remember the ad story of Twin Towers and the purple light at this place will always remind us about this… The Ground Zero – the memorial for the innocent people who were unlucky to appear in those buildings and around.
In the city center of NY there is a big Central Park. It is one of the biggest parks I`ve ever seen. There are places for relaxation, sport and of course for movie recording;) Many of people are jogging here. I have to say that we were tired to cross the whole area of the Central Park, cos it has such a big territory.

There is a song “She would like to live at Manhattan…” I can’t say that I`d like to live there, cos Manhattan is not just a dream place… There are many of pros and cons of living at this place. From one side – it is a place of opportunities, prestigious apartments but from the other hand – it is disappointment, gray and sad streets…
We`ve lived in a Economy class hotel with big beds and strange insects in the bath, but for 3 days of stay it`s ok, if you want to explore the New York City 😉
Another prominent place is the 5th Avenue – the most fancy and expensive street not only in New York but mostly in the whole world. All the world-known brands have their 3-5 storied boutiques here. This street is like a museum of fashion which you would explore with a great pleasure… The other question is if you could afford yourself to buy something from here… Anyway you could set up a good goal – to work until expensive will become cheap for you 😉
Btw shopping is one of the most exciting here in comparison with many of European countries.

Little sweet friends you could find everywhere here. The US is the motherland of many favourite world-known sweets so here are plenty of brand boutiques for them too.

Another travel destination in NYC is the Liberty Island. You can`t leave New York without having a selfie with the Statue of Liberty) While you will travel by boat to the Island you will observe the huge urban beauty of the Wall Street and Manhattan in general.

the view from the boat

I wanted to visit this famous Brighton beach but I was not expecting to find there little Russia or Ukraine…Everything was written in Russian and to say the truth, even if I`ve been missing home for 3 months already, I was not ready to experience it in the USA…

You have captured the city beautifully!! And you are right about Central Park.. I have been there several times but I still haven’t been able to take a complete tour of the park fully 😉
