There will be a place which will be a very special for us, even if there is nothing so exciting about it for the others. I`m talking about the place where we were born. For me its a city on the North-Western part of Ukraine, called Lutsk. My city has 930 years since the first mentioning. There are around 200 000 citizens living in my city. We have a rich history and many of nice people were born here. I believe that you can say the same about your home town but which of unique things I could share about Lutsk?

First of all I have to mention that we have a Castle which is acknowledged as one of the Ukrainian wonders. It was built in 13th century and remains the same since those ancient times with just small renovations. It is called Lubart`s Castle after the name of Lubart the russian-lithuanian Duke.

Lubart`s Castle is situated in the city center, in the old part of the city. There are many of interesting and ancient buildings around. If you will have a walk through its streets you will found the mysterious medieval atmosphere.

There are many of Churches around but usually tourists pay attention to the high building of Lutheran Church.

There is a male`s seminary which is still working and people could go to pray there. It is surrounded by beautiful garden, which is blossoming during the warm parts of the year.

One more of Lutsk wonder is architector`s house. The old but talented guy,  who is already 72 years old created everything by himself. This house is his workroom where he creates his masterpieces. There are hundreds of sculptures here and he is combining different types of architectural flow.

Lutsk is not a big city, even if it`s a regional center. Usually visitors say about Lutsk that is pretty comfortable and calm and I might agree with them. Even the central street looks so domestic.

One of the prominent buildings on the main street is my University. It reminds me the building of Parliament in Kyiv.

There is one more thing which I like about my city is that it is very green. We have many of parks and rivers. We have a city beach in the city center. Sometimes there are horses and cows taking bathes)))

 

I like to walk through my city and I like to observe the views from the windows of my apartment which is situated on the 5th floor. The sky is absolutely stunning and I like to read the images on it.
